London Gatwick Airport launches new free spray tan scheme

THOUSANDS of Brits are heading off on their summer holiday in fear of flashing their fair flesh, reveals new research today.
Brits biggest holiday hate is baring their lilywhite skin, as almost one third (32 per cent) admit they dread showing off their pasty complexion. The research from London Gatwick Airport launches the airport’s new summer initiative ‘Gatwick Glow’ which will offer travellers complementary spray tans before they fly.

Being bronzed when hitting the sand is clearly more important than we think with holiday makers feeling more comfortable revealing their cellulite (22 per cent) and wobbly bellies (22 per cent) than their winter-white skin.
Going away with a pre-existing glow could be the way to go; over half (56 per cent) claim having a pre-bronzed-bod would give them more confidence on their first day.

And men are proving vainer than ever, as they fear exposing their tanless skin more than women when heading for sunnier shores, with close to four in 10 (36 per cent) admitting it’s their top vacation vex compared to 29 per cent of females.
Despite so many saying it would give them a much needed self-esteem boost on the beach, over eight in 10 (82 per cent) have never had a spray tan before jetting abroad – needless to say, Brits aren’t doing much to help their self-confidence on the beach.
